''Depth'' Print

The picture I present is the first of a cycle "Element" consists of 3 paintings depicting the element of water, which is the embodiment of my soul, inner, most hidden world. The images have dimensions of 120x160 cm. The works were executed in oil on canvas technique. The most important thing in my series is not a realistic depiction of the seascape, but an emotional element. Water is a symbol of the inner world, this deep ocean of experiences and emotions that lives in each of us and which we try so hard to hide. Water-plastic, changeable, dissolves, destroys, purifies, washes and restores, even being in apparent rest, constantly moving...Like the human soul-it reaches for beauty, it falls into the darkness of chaos. The soul receives, absorbs the world around it. It reflects it with a variety of spiritual experiences. Water is a symbol of cleansing the mind, smoothing the sharp angles of character, hurting emotions. When I paint, I fully immerse myself in my personal feelings, trust my intuition and do not follow the plan. Each image is a challenge for me, a way to free myself and find myself. The choice of technique plays one of the key roles in the works presented in the diploma series, because it emphasizes the character and emotions that I wanted to convey to the viewer.
