About The Artwork

New painting "Dochiar Monastery. Saint Athos". Dochiar was founded in the X century by the Monk Euthymius. For exemplary brotherly love, meekness and modesty, for a special zeal for the angelic ascetic life of St. Euthymius was appointed by St. Athanasius Dokiar, who was responsible for all the food and material needs of the brotherhood. But the soul of the holy dohaar burned with the desire for silence. With the blessing of St. Athanasius Euthymius, leaving the Lavra, together with several brethren, founded a monastery in Daphni. But the Saracen raids forced him to go further north. By the Providence of God, the ascetic was indicated for silence the place where Dochiar now stands. Here, Euthymius was joined by his nephew Nicholas, who left the post of adviser to Emperor Nicephorus Phocas. With the money of Nicholas, in the monasticism of Neophytos, and with the permission of the Protus of the Holy Mountain, a new spacious monastery began to be built, which Euthymius called Dochiar in memory of his Lavra obedience. After his death, St. Neophyte. The construction of the monastery was stopped due to lack of funds. But the Queen of Heaven, with maternal solicitude taking care of the inhabitants of Her earthly lot, was pleased to provide the necessary money. She showed one young novice where the treasure was buried. This place was located on the opposite part of the Athos peninsula of Chalkidia, on the monastery courtyard. Three monks sent there together with the boy, having found the treasure, decided to take possession of it. For this, they tied a stone around the witness's neck and threw it into the sea. When the unfortunate man began to drown, the Archangel of God Michael appeared before him, along with the Guardian Angel. The angel with a prayer turned to Michael the Archangel: "If you please, deliver this youth from drowning." And immediately the boy found himself in the temple of Dohyar. Criminal monks were caught in deception. They had to return the treasures, for the miraculously saved novice Heavenly Powers saved him from certain death.

The sun of the artist Ksenia Yarovaya was born from birth - while still a child she showed interest in drawing, which later grew into a profession: the sun, generously bestowed on her artistic talent, burst into this world with an awareness of its vastness and riot of colors, among which she wanted to find her and it is not surprising that once life brought her to Greece, where the sun is not only in the sky for almost three hundred days a year - it is in every smile and look, in every splash of sea wave and gull cry, in children's laughter and in the wise words of old people, in every th branch of olives and every grain of sand. It plays with rays from ancient temples and gives unforgettable sunsets and sunrises, it gives life and this will never change. Two suns met to make the world even brighter and more delightful - that if not creativity improves it? ......... Academy of Painting Sculpture and Architecture.
