Hi, there! My name’s, John. Born in Columbia, South Carolina, I was raised in a rural part of Summerton. So fishing and hunting were an every weekend thing coming up. Dogs are better than cats any day. Sorry! Receiving an education in Clarendon School District One, I don’t think there was a day I went to school without a sketch pad. Studying drawing and painting three years at Scott’s Branch High, I’ve won numerous accolades along side my classmates and colleagues. One annual competition in particular is the Striped Bass Festival Art Show, in which I took a place every year, competing against other schools in Clarendon County. Upon graduating with honors, I decided to further my education at the University of South Carolina. I’ve been fortunate enough to receive my Associate in Arts degree. Since then I’ve joined the Sumter County Artist Guild, exhibiting my work along side other great artists. Along my journey, I’ve come to be fond of realism and expressionism; snapping shots of whatever intrigues me. I thank you for visiting my page.
