This original female portrait painting depicting young, beautiful woman has been inspired by 'Ederlezi' - popular traditional folk song of the Romani minority in the Balkans, performed by ethnic band BGKO. Ederlezi is a Spring festival, celebrated by Romani people in the Balkans, Turkey and elsewhere around the world. This colourful holiday celebrates the start of spring and travel season, but this young female does not celebrate with others. She sits alone, lost in thoughts, missing the one she loves.
This artwork is completely original and unique. Bohemian, colourful, folk- inspired but still very emotional. There is something haunting in this woman's face expression, and her pose. There is a reflection, and sadness juxtaposed to colourful background representing spring and joy.
This original, emotional painting would enhance bohemian or modern interior.
• Original painting of sitting female with head supported by hands, wearing red scarf on her haid, painted on colourful patchwork-style background • Contemporary emotional, imaginary portrait • Young pensive woman portrait • Painting inspired by folk song • Dimensions: 46cm x 61cm x 1.5cm • Acrylic painting on stretched canvas • Unframed to match your style
Colour may slightly vary due to monitor settings, and lighting during photographing.

Contemporary artist hailing from Poland and currently rooted in the vibrant city of Manchester, United Kingdom since 2008. With a profound passion for artistry, I specialize in evocative female portraits that delve deep into the realm of emotions. My artistic journey is a testament to my fascination with the human face, particularly the intricate nuances of expression encapsulated within the eyes. Whether traversing the realms of realism or embracing the realm of imagination, my portraits serve as a canvas for my own innermost feelings, inviting viewers to embark on an introspective journey of their own. In addition to my prowess with the paintbrush, I find joy in the realm of sculpture, where I craft whimsical pieces using a medley of recycled materials. From wire to fabric, paper to environmentally-friendly fabric hardener, each creation embodies a unique narrative, weaving together elements of sustainability and artistic expression. Under the business name 'Chameleon’s House', I have also carved a niche as a furniture artist, breathing new life into vintage pieces through the art of upcycling. This endeavour not only champions environmental stewardship by repurposing forgotten treasures but also serves as a testament to the transformative power of creativity. Each revamped creation emerges as a testament to my dedication to infusing beauty and value into the everyday, turning mundane into extraordinary. Join me on a journey of artistic exploration as I continue to push the boundaries of creativity, one stroke at a time.
