About The Artwork

This piece is inspired by wildlife and conservation. Elephants are facing a poaching crisis; one elephant dies every 15 minutes for its ivory. It is estimated that 25,000 elephants die annually. This work aims to remind everyone of the beauty and strength of elephants. To see the loss of these magnificent creatures would be a devastating blow to our ecological system, and a tragic loss to the communities and countries that depend on them for the tourism they bring. Proceeds from the sale of this painting will go directly towards elephant conservation efforts.

I was born and raised in Nairobi Kenya, and have since lived in 3 other countries; Nigeria, England, and America. I am currently based in Los Angeles, CA. I am passionate about art that reflects modern day issues. I specifically am focused on conservation art; art that tells the story of animals that are endangered. My work has been used by the Nature Conservancy to raise awareness of the poaching crisis that Elephants face (click here to see more: http://www.nature.org/ourinitiatives/regions/africa/elegram-mosaic.xml ) and it is my goal to continue to raise awareness of the elephant poaching crisis. A copy of this artwork was also presented to the First Lady of Kenya to thank her for her conservation work.
