About The Artwork
This piece is titled Entanglement, this is what I experienced during the 3-year period that I worked on this painting. Through this means I expressed all of the emotions that I felt while I was thrust into entanglement with a man. It has become a whirlwind romance; we are, it seems, atomically intertwined. My painting shows pain, anger, freedom, wonder, eagerness, delight, curiosity, calmness... There is richness to it, a feeling of mystery and courage to step into that place of entrapment. I feel as though I belong to a select group of those who have experienced a solemn union, one of true love and purpose to care for another - the truth elite.

Born in Methuen Massachusetts of Puerto Rican parents in 1970, and uprooted every few years for my Father's Religious Evangelism work was not an easy start, but it is what fostered in me the need for fantasy through my imagination. I recall my Mother sitting me in front of the TV to watch Bob Ross, and I'd become entranced as I watched him paint " pretty little trees", as his voice calmed my young soul. I guess I have always known I'd grow into my identity as an artist even though it took me 4 decades and countless academic and career pursuits. I have also traveled extensively around the World, to arrive in the area of the Pacific Northwest, specifically, Portland, Oregon during the Winter of 2016, to begin my adventure into the art world.
