About The Artwork

The abstract painting is a vibrant and dynamic expression of the Mediterranean as the cradle of civilization. The canvas is filled with bold strokes of bright blues, turquoises, and pinks, creating a sense of movement and energy. In the center of the painting, there is a large, circular shape that represents the Mediterranean Sea, the heart of the region. Radiating out from this central shape are a series of lines and curves that evoke the ancient trade routes that crisscrossed the sea, connecting people and cultures from all around the Mediterranean basin. The colors and shapes in the painting are meant to suggest the rich diversity of cultures and civilizations that have flourished in the Mediterranean over the centuries. There are flashes of red and orange that hint at the passion and creativity that have characterized Mediterranean life, as well as darker, more contemplative hues that suggest the region's deep history and traditions.
