"Espresso" by Alexander Levich is an evocative portrayal of a serene moment on a beach, as captured on a large canvas using oil paints. The focus of this artwork is an empty coffee cup, meticulously placed on a table with a single chair behind it, pointing towards the sea. This setup evokes a sense of solitude and reflection, reminiscent of afternoons spent strolling along the coast when the beach cafes are just beginning to prepare for the evening crowd. The artwork’s vivid portrayal of the turquoise sea and the bright blue sky complements the white of the beach furniture, creating a stark contrast that draws the viewer’s eye. This painting is ideal for those who seek art that not only beautifies a space but also tells a story of quiet moments before the rush of evening, offering a window into the tranquil experiences of coastal life.

What is the most important thing in life? It's not the external surroundings but our inner world. Painting serves as the key that unlocks this realm. By following this path, one learns not just to look, but to truly SEE. Through my art, I delve into profound content. Painting becomes a medium of communication, a canvas for thoughts. The questions are always deeper than the answers, and the answers are discoveries we make within ourselves. My paintings serve as guides, leading you along the pathways of your own thoughts. I aim to offer you the joy of connecting with your inner world, the luxury of harmony and solitude in communication with yourself. I was born in 1963 in Kyiv, Ukraine, and in 1987, I graduated from the painting faculty of the Kyiv Art Academy, under the guidance of Professor A.M. Lopukhov. Since 1990, I have been a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine. As a professional artist with over 30 years of experience, my artistic journey can be divided into two main periods. The first period, which spanned over 20 years after my graduation, can be described as "Metarealism." The second period, which I refer to as my "return to realism," began around 2010, you may explore my artworks from both periods showcased here. If you would like to delve deeper into my portfolio, view additional paintings beyond those displayed on this website, or if you have any questions or comments, please feel free to contact me directly via email at a.levich@protonmail.com. You are also warmly welcome to visit my studio in Kyiv. Thank you sincerely for your interest.
