What they write about me: "Painter Yuliya Bondar-Kukhtina takes an active part in artistic and cultural life of Kharkov and Ukraine. Her creative activity includes a great variety of works by different genres-portraits, landscapes, still life works. All her works have different graphic, stylistic and picturesque peculiarities. Yuliya is a regular participant of painting plein air sessions in Ukraine and abroad. In her landscapes prevail intimate and panoramic works. The Geography of her works embraces the Crimea, Podil region, Kharkov region, Southern banks of the river Bugh, her mother's birth-place. Yuliya often chooses this place for her plein air works. The main characters of her works are the farmers of nearby villages of Gaivoron and Uman. Yulia is a master of foreshortening, different composition, variations. She makes her own palette variations and has her own way of writing. That is why the works written in plane air and being finished in her workshop are really picturesque and vivid. They have specific freshness of artistic view, vivid, graceful manner of writing. In the system of plane air painting Yuliya pays great attention to the light as a main specific component of the works. In her still life works prevail combinations of bright colours. As a rule, flowers in her works are written in buky, rich colour and mosaic style. Antique refined things are the best supplement to them.
