About The Artwork

This painting is based on many years of studying. I have studied varying styles; and I personally enjoy painting in a broad range of style. What sets me apart is my use of color and loose strokes of color. Also my unique feel for style and subject. The style is based on expressionism, pointillism, abstract expressionism, and realism. To me it has a Van Gogh meets Jackson Pollock feel. Yet I also was influenced by Pablo Picasso and his use of mask like faces. The subject is that of a lady whom has baked muffins and the façade everyone puts on in order to receive the delicious treat. People put on masks to get what they want and even the lady creating the muffins has a smile of enjoyment. (The white haired lady holding the basket of treats is the one whom has created them.) Even the white haired lady has a façade as she enjoys the attention. This image took many hours of work and many years of study in order to be able to create it.

Dear collectors, I am just a simple person living a simple life. Having lived in some beautiful places; nature is important to me. I currently resided in small little country home. A love for painting is my one true constant. One of the true joys in my life has been the time spent exploring my little world as an artist. I am almost forty-two now and continue to paint; having practiced for almost thirty years now. I am both self taught and trained as I have a bachelor's degree from a Framingham State College. I have always worked multiple jobs while still somehow creating and selling on almost a daily basis. I am so happy to say that many people all across the United States enjoy my artwork on their walls. For me my paintings are more then a pretty picture. No matter if I am doing a portrait or a landscape there is meaning and feeling behind each one. I explore character and the uniqueness of the subject at hand. I love the outdoors and have a deep respect for the natural world. As my family owns an old farm with woods and many wild animals make their home their.
