'Farewell to the Summer' is a large painting which reflects a wonderful atmosphere of September evenings with their golden and crimson sunsets. The end of the summer, when the air is slowly being filled with scents and colours of the arriving autumn, is definitely my favourite time of the year and I used to feel very inspired by the magical mood all around. The palette of this piece is based on warm golden tones, and the simple, modest frame makes it looking very lightsome and elegant. The painting is varnished and ready to hang - I will be delighted if it finds its new home. Best regards Natalie

I am a literary scholar by education, however I have been interested in making art for many years. I started my adventure with oil painting in 2020 as a self-taught artist deeply inspired by evening skies, moonlight, restless seas and Scandinavian landscapes. I love creating moods and capturing impressions, moments and memories on canvas. I often apply alla prima technique, but I feel best working on more time-consuming projects, on larger canvases, building depth, layer upon layer. My works are quite minimalistic – usually a hazy composition is enriched only by a bright spot of light or by a clearly marked line of water. I feel most inspired when I am close to nature, appreciating the beauty of fleeting moments.
