About The Artwork
Initially inspired by the Rococco period, I juxtaposed it with the fashion of today using a limited palette and lace motiv. Always inspired by Watteau, together with the various high gloss magazines and 'A Pictorial History of Costume' book, I synthesized the whole experience. I hope the viewer sees the layers involved and appreciates the work put into the process. I chose the medium of a limited palette to emphasise minimalism at its best.
