Flora was the Roman goddess who made trees and plants bloom. Perhaps originally it was one with the goddess Feronia, but her cult was more widespread and she was entitled to a flamine, which was instead denied to Feronia, a more local deity. Flora's temple was located near the Circus Maximus. Responsible for the awakening of nature in the spring, Flora was considered a fertilising divinity who was given the power to make sterile women fruitful. This painting will look absolutely stunning in a minimalistic or contemporary setting and is a perfect decorative element for someone who loves the classical world. It radiates elegance and rigor. This painting was painted in the month of May 2020 and was painted with mineral pigments that I prepare in the studio.

I am driven by classical art and I would love to follow in the footsteps of the beloved artists from the past like Veronese, Da Vinci, Andrea del Sarto. I like the idea of art which is based on canons of ideal forms or divine ideal proportions. I particularly like these forms of art such as David and Ingre. Saatchi is a wonderful opportunity to reach international audiences.
