After countless redos, idea changes I have finally completed this painting and I could not be more proud. I started working on this painting in Dec'21 and at that time the thought and look of this artwork was completely different (more towards sci-fi, time travel machine vibe) than what it is now. Then when I was almost done, I hated the way it looked, the gradient wasn't smooth, rings were not clean and I just felt like something was missing so, one morning I just painted white over the whole painting, to start from scratch. This time I knew what mistakes to avoid. After painting two lines I stopped working on it. I would look at it everyday thinking one day I will complete it. Initially my strokes were tiny,shaky and I was using the thinnest brush possible. As I started working on this painting again, my strokes got bolder, I was working with a thicker brush, making clean lines in one go (personal achievement- unlocked!). The whole experience of painting these thin lines changed as I felt more confident and just went with the flow. From not painting a single line for 2.5 months I finished the whole painting in 1.5 days. The inverted gradient is my favourite part and those tiny overlaps that creates a woven feeling. I feel working with gradients and tints and shades is like my new thing. I love the effect it creates and elevates the a simple artwork.
