This painting belongs to the series "Forgotten Satellite Maps. Sahara," in which I explore the Earth's surface through the prism of aesthetic perception. In my work, I show how our planet is the greatest artist, creating entire paintings on a large scale with mountains, sands, volcanoes, forests, and rivers. My goal is to convey the mood of a discoverer who found maps in a box, or perhaps they are your grandfather's maps... and sees beauty and aesthetic application in them, in the combination of colors, textures, smooth and sharp transitions. The painting is created with high-quality Ukrainian watercolor paints on French paper. I use a special wet-on-wet technique, controlling the flow of the paint. Additionally, the painting has folds - this simulates the idea that you found an old map, unfolded it, and gave it new life. The work is very technically challenging, as it is made from several pieces that are tightly glued together with natural fabric, making it flexible. To protect the image from moisture and sunlight, the painting is coated with a protective semi-gloss acrylic varnish, which is highly resistant to external factors. (+) Created on 100% cotton paper with a density of 185 gsm, combined with cotton fabric and flexible silicone glue. It has an additional protective fabric under the paper for greater protection of the painting. (+) Includes the author's signature and a certificate of authenticity from the author. (+) Safe and reliable packaging with transparent protective film, several layers of cardboard, and a box. It does not need framing; the painting has a gallery wrap. The painting is signed on the back. It comes with a signed certificate of authenticity.
