FROM LUNAR SERIES:"LUNAR 12" Print

This Lunar series, I started it with the begining of the isolation period due to the virus. This event was unique to global community we have to face that our lives have changed from now on. I had been researching about our psychic archetypes solar/lunar, ligth/shadow of human nature and emotions and in the understanding that what is in one is in all. The moon represents our emotions, our subconscious, our fears, the incertanties about the future. But also is our mother( planet earth), the sea, the times, the cicles of nature and fertility, the feminine nature, the womb, the wet and all its energy intertwined with mankind. I hope, the viewers can experiment the changes of the pictorical perspective which you get as long as you walked in front of the piece, or if you get closer or far from it. I use for this series a new metalizad pigments, kind of iridiscent, fluid color which allows me mixing them up with other colors and paint many layers in order to get the changes of the light in the work. As the moon phases, my lunar works changes as well.I use acrylics because dry faster that other mediums and abstracto because is the way I can better express my work. Although I must say that in this work, Lunar 12 it is kind of hiperealistic. It´s like a prairie of green grass with a wind hovering in a an circle way to the center of the piece, reflecting the silver, golden highlights of the moon.
