Gardening in Homs Print

There is a family living not far from my home, from Homs in Syria. When the housewife makes a felafel and tea we speak about times how they used to be before civil war. Homs was the center of an agricultural area they say, they speak about fruit and vegetable gardening and how cheap and beautifully big Syrian tomatoes were. My work broaches the issue of how the idea of natural growth can transcendend the reality of war into an idea of livable future. It works in art as is shown here, ingrows our tea-talks and bears hope for life.
