About The Artwork
In looking back I believe my art work is about the model used for the famous painting ophelia by British artist waterhouse. I sat in London Tate gallery as a young college student just constantly studying and drawing the painting. The model used for such a beautiful painting was kept in an iron bath immersed in water kept warm only by candles lit from underneath. The model suffered great illness and her father sued the artist for her I'll health and poor treatment. But this is about pain and beauty, how those suffering and in pain can still be beautiful , both in suffering in death. It's about working through the image to try to understand the world we live it. I hope it finds a good home, as all my work means a great deal to me.
