ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The impressionist style inspired the painting . I chose acrylic paint as it enables me to layer paint transaprently creating a glow on the subjects complexion. I chose the subject matter of girl with apple , being poetic , represent many things all at once. Is the subject suggesting the apple is good or tempting? Her gaze directed at the viewer may be of mortality, poetry or one of love .
