About The Artwork
I was on a driving trip to Australia with my good ol' Ma. We'd hired a campervan and drove from Brisbane to Melbourne, I'm a longboarder so I bought a Longboard in Noosa, and aimed to surf all along the coast. Unfortunately I managed to break 4 ribs on my first wave, so, in holiday survival mode, I decided to concentrate on my love of painting instead. On the Goldcoast, I couldn't believe how few people were on the beaches. I wanted to express the feeling of light and space, compared with where I live in England. That hot, sandy beach feeling when there aren't crowds of people around.
