About The Artwork
The Gulf of Mexico formed approximately 300 million years ago as a result of plate tectonics The gulf holds the majestic Atlantic ocean in a temporary lull, and it's warm water can feed powerful Atlantic hurricanes. When a storm chases the ocean waves into the gulf they are trapped and crash on the sand with fury. This painting, one of my largest, is 72" long by 24" high and is in the collection of a prominent physician on the west coast of Florida.
