From a work by the famous photographer August Sander 'Gipsy' C. 1930. The original photograph was taken in a park in Berlin. August Sander's work has been a great influence on my and his pictures "People of the 20th Century" is a must see. The painting has had a matt finish applied to protect the image. On leaving school at 16 my intention was to go to art school on the advice of a local artist, but things took a turn and I spent the next 12 years in the military as a Combat Medic. I still drew and painted during my service and it was a good distraction after some very testing times. I am an artist who works in multi media art projects from Oils, Acrylic. Pencil drawing, Carving, Pewter work. I have been concentrating in Oil painting for a few years and have had nice sales from my work. I learned my art skill through experience. I like to experiment with my work.
