About The Artwork

Started as several layers of Ivory black oil pigment. When workable two straight lines, the "hard lines", rendered. Artist pondered and mulled for a while. Lines are a basic building block of fine art painting. Yet lines were restrictive. Sections for painting? Divisive? Perhaps. So a wave line connecting divisions painted. Then all else, making all integral, connecting the disconnected. Created vertically, horizontally, at various angles. At night, during day. Can be displayed similarly.

Lowborn, lacking Luxury Beliefs, but not inverted snob. Orphaned, outcast, male, straight, white, capitalist (a tiny fish in a very big pond), quite conservative in fiscal and social matters. In long term and friendly relationship. Purposely irrelevant prankster, yet pragmatic, singular, evolved, authentic, ironic, sardonic, sceptical. I realise some of these classifications could go against one. Definitely not intersected. Comparatively deprived early life, which has had life-long permanent effect. Not least in being grateful, for what I've got. And for any opportunities that I can both recognise and take. These themes within some of my works. Never faked a sarcasm too. Personally loyal to those who have tried or helped me. What else is a man of honour to do? Really enjoy painting, sometimes. In silence, without media lies etc., have noticed sound of my own breathing as I paint. Most expressive, rather than regular. Still learning after all these years. Still learning. Thank you for your interest.
