From the series 'Natura artis magistra' ('master of art is nature'; Latin). Contemporary environmental art. The images in this series are based on the more or only slightly modified pattern of natural beings: animals and plants. There are also abstract images in this series inspired by natural patterns but freely moving away from them. The hidden beauty of nature often appears on creatures we wouldn’t even expect and pay no attention to them. Although they are not exotic creatures, they live here with us. Helix pomatia (Roman snail, Burgundy snail, edible snail, or escargot) is a species of large land snail, in the family Helicidae. This digital picture, together with my other digital works, belongs to a genre that could be called 'file art', which means it is not a copy. There is no original: the prints are not reproductions, each one is equally original. New art requires a new approach from artists and collectors alike.
