About The Artwork
It is rare to see a figure depicted in a landscape painting. In this imaginary landscape I incorporated the atmospheric and linear perspective laws, invented in Renaissance, to create the illusion of depth on a 2D surface. The distant objects recede in colors, and the objects on the foreground/middle ground, on the contrary, are highly chromatic and contrasting.
