About The Artwork
I am intrigued by the architectural elements of intimate and grand interior spaces. Especially how the light plays on objects that evoke a certain mood. I take in what is around me or what I see in a particular place and use my imagination to make it special or try and tell a story using symbols color/light and brushwork. I was captivated by this ancient chandelier that hangs in the Church of the Holy Sepulchure in Jerusalem. I painted this piece depicting my vision of this beautiful chandelier. To me, this Holy chandelier represents peace, protection, guidance, and love. The chair in this piece represents a place for us to sit and feel His presence.
