Oil on linen 95x54x2cm (37.4x21.3x0.8in) 2021, ready to hang. “Home interior” is a colourful and very detailed artwork which I painted from a picture taken in my living room. I was playing on the sofa with my son, Giulio, when I realized that the situation I was looking at would be good for a painting. I decided, then, to take a picture and make an artwork called “Home interior”. The technique is very detailed and gestural and I left visible as many brush strokes as I could. The colours are bright and the contrast high, making the painting stand out on the wall as a colourful expression of joy. “Home interior” is a 95x54cm oil on linen artwork, painted using top quality oil colours and stretched on a supported wooden frame.

In my paintings I focus on figures and their interaction with the landscape and architecture. After spending some years being very faithful to the samples, I am now experimenting different styles of painting and alternating portraits (mainly commissions) with sperimental artworks. Also, I am increasingly taking advantage of image editing softwares in pre-production to find the best colours and lights for the painting. I use oil colours both on wood and linen. All the materials used in the artworks are high quality, from hand primed canvas (by myself, using a classic method that prevents from aging and deterioration) to colours.
