VIEW IN MY ROOM
Priminister, Sir Gully Flaxford's stalwart leadership in the face of a defeatist Government saw Birdlandians rally to the defence of their homeland. (And helped them overlook many of his scandalous extra-marital affairs). His distinctive bowler hat became a symbol of hope in the dark days of the Weasel Wars. This painting is from Stu Duval's 'Birdlandia' Series which depicts the lives and history of birds and other creatures living in the fictional world of Birdlandia in the Southern Seas circa 1860. This peaceful nation is beset by trouble with the invasion of the Stoats and Weasel Armies of the Northern land of Weaselpotamia. They must rally a rag-tag army to defend themselves against overwhelming odds.
