Mario Curis was born in the country of Uruguay, into a family of seven brothers and sisters. Because of social and economical factors, he started working at a young age. He began working at the age of 10, and at the age of 15, he was already forced to leave his home, for a search of a better life. On his journeys around the world, he gained a lot of life experience, which also reflects in his work. He first started painting in his late 20s, and still continues to do so. Through time, he has created more than 400 works of art. More than 100 of his best works, were lost in the hurricane flood in Florida, in 1999. He has hosted art shows in New York and New Jersey. Up to this date, he has sold, numerous works in the USA and Europe. He also donated, several works worldwide (Beethoven's House in Germany, different science institutes and hospitals). Now he is retired, and lives in Europe (Slovenia) , where he paints almost every day. His unique style of painting, is very distinguishable and different, and suits many different styles of home decor, due to choice of soft colours. His greatest influences are: Vincent Van Gogh, Pablo Picasso and a lot of giants in classical music, such as; Chopin, Schubert, Mozart, Beethoven and many others. He has also painted, some of the pieces of classical music.
