About The Artwork

Thor: I bid you farewell and good luck, morons. Rocket Raccoon : Nidavellir is real? Seriously? I mean, that place is a legend. They make the most powerful and horrific weapons to ever torment the universe. I would very much like to go there, please. Thor : The rabbit is correct and clearly the smartest among you. Rocket Raccoon : Rabbit? Eitri : You understand, boy, you're about to take the full force of a star. It'll kill you. Thor : Only if I die. Eitri : Yes. That's what... killing you means. Rocket Raccoon : This is Thanos we're talking about. He's the toughest there is Thor : Well, he's never fought me. Rocket Raccoon : Yeah, he has. Thor : He's never fought me twice. Rocket Raccoon : You speak Groot? Thor : Yes, they taught it on Asgard. It was an elective. Drax : It's like a pirate had a baby with an angel. Steve Rogers : [to Pirate Angel] New haircut? Thor : Looks like you've copied my beard. By the way, this is a friend of mine, the tree. Groot : I am Groot! Steve Rogers : I am Steve Rogers. Thor : Families can be tough. Before my father died, he told me I had a half-sister that he imprisoned in hell. Then she returned home and stabbed me in the eye. So I had to kill her. That's life though, isn't it, I guess. Goest round and round and... I feel your pain. Thor : Only Eitri the Dwarf can make me the weapon I need. I assume you're the captain, sir. Rocket Raccoon : You're very perceptive. Thor : You seem like a noble leader. Will you join me on my quest to Nidavellir? Rocket Raccoon : Ah, let me just ask the captain. Oh, wait a second, it's me! Yeah. I'll go. Thor : You know, I'm 1500 years old. I've killed twice as many enemies as that. And every one of them would have rather killed me than not succeeded. I'm only alive because fate wants me alive. Thanos is just the latest of a long line of bastards, and he'll be the latest to feel my vengeance - fate wills it so. Thor : There are six stones out there. Thanos already has the Power Stone because he stole it last week when he decimated Xandar. He stole the Space Stone from me when he destroyed my ship and slaughtered half my people. The Time and Mind Stones are safe on Earth, they're with the Avengers. Peter Quill : The Avengers? Thor : Earth's mightiest heroes. Mantis : Like Kevin Bacon? Thor : He may be on the team. I don't know, I haven't been there in a while. from ‘Avenegers: Infinity War’ (2018) Starring Chadwick Boseman (What If…?), Benedict Cumberbatch (The Imitation Game), Don Cheadle ("His name is Lee, goddamn it!"), Gwyneth Paltrow (Say it with me now… "What’s in the box?!"), Benedict Wong ("Ah, thanks to my uncle Tommy in China, we get another chance at this."), Danai Gurira (Michonne), Paul Bettany ("For I have the pride, the privilege, nay, the pleasure of introducing to you to a knight, sired by knights. A knight who can trace his lineage back beyond Charlemagne. I first met him atop a mountain near Jerusalem, praying to God, asking his forgiveness for the Saracen blood spilt by his sword. Next, he amazed me still further in Italy when he saved a fatherless beauty from the would-be ravishing of her dreadful Turkish uncle. In Greece he spent a year in silence just to better understand the sound of a whisper. And so without further gilding the lily and with no more ado, I give to you, the seeker of serenity, the protector of Italian virginity, the enforcer of our Lord God, the one, the only, Sir Ulllrrrich von Lichtenstein! Thank you, thank you, I'll be here all week."), Dave Bautista (Riddick), Mark Sinclair (The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay), Elizabeth Olsen (Breakfast for dinner? Hells yes!), Peter Dinklage ("He's an angry elf."), Robert Downey Jr. (I love you 3,Gazillion,Bajillion x Infinity - *My* Heart and Souls), Mark Ruffalo (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind), Scarlett Johansson (her), Tom Holland ("Oh, this is nice." - Super Jelly. Also, my favorite Spidey), Karen Gillan (Crawley’s Call of the Wild), Tom Hiddleston (LOKI), Chris Hemsworth ('He was six-foot, three and full of muscle'), Sebastian Shaw (Logan Lucky), Rene Russo (*Ms.* Destiny - Yes, I’m aware that she’s not in this one, but I just have to say that she’s one of my all time faves.), Anthony Mackie (The Hurt Locker), Rocket Raccoon (Bradley Cooper - Wait, why does Rocket need someone to do his voice? Was he unavailable for the ADR? He does seem like a one take kinda guy.), Benicio Del Toro ("Where is the stone?" - Is that a Snatch reference in an Avengers movie???), Paul Rudd (Too Much Time On My Hands - Another all time fave.), Brandon Walsh ("Long enough, Mikey. Long enough."), Brie Larson ("I like this one."), William Hurt (Altered States), Chris Pratt ("It’s like I’m wiping a marker, or something."), Tilda Swinton (Snowpiercer - FAVE), Chris Evans (‘Janey Briggs Got A Gun’), Marisa Tomei ("Are you shor?" -- "Positive." -- "How can you be so shor?"), Idris Elba (Prometheus), Stan Lee (Muppet Babies), Pom Klementieff ("…the chick with the antenna."), and Zoe Saldana (For the Love of Spock). Screenplay by Christopher Markus (The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe) and Stephen McFreely (Captain America: The First Avenger). Directed by Anthony Russo (Top Banana) and Joe Russo (Meat the Veals). Note: If I missed anyone, apologies. I’m starting to give myself more work than I had ever intended. That’s part of the reason why I’ve mostly stuck with actors, writers, and directors in descriptions… mostly. Avengers: Infinity War is a 2018 American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics superhero team the Avengers. Produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, it is the sequel to The Avengers (2012) and Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015), and the 19th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo and written by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, the film features an ensemble cast including Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Benedict Cumberbatch, Don Cheadle, Tom Holland, Chadwick Boseman, Paul Bettany, Elizabeth Olsen, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Danai Gurira, Letitia Wright, Dave Bautista, Zoe Saldana, Josh Brolin, and Chris Pratt. In the film, the Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy attempt to prevent Thanos from collecting the six all-powerful Infinity Stones as part of his quest to kill half of all life in the universe. The film was announced in October 2014 as Avengers: Infinity War – Part 1. The Russo brothers came on board to direct in April 2015, and a month later Markus and McFeely had signed on to write the script for the film, which draws inspiration from Jim Starlin's 1991 comic book The Infinity Gauntlet and Jonathan Hickman's 2013 comic book Infinity. In 2016, Marvel shortened the title to Avengers: Infinity War. Filming began in January 2017 at Pinewood Atlanta Studios in Fayette County, Georgia, with a large cast consisting mostly of actors reprising their roles from previous MCU films, including Brolin as Thanos. The production lasted until July 2017, shooting back-to-back with a direct sequel, Avengers: Endgame (2019). Additional filming took place in Scotland, the Downtown Atlanta area, and New York City. With an estimated budget of $325–400 million, the film is one of the most expensive films ever made. Avengers: Infinity War premiered in Los Angeles on April 23, 2018, and was released in the United States on April 27, as part of Phase Three of the MCU. The film received praise for Brolin's performance, visual effects, action sequences, and emotional weight, but was criticized for relying on previous MCU films for its story. The film was the fourth film and the first superhero film to gross over $2 billion worldwide, breaking numerous box office records, and becoming the highest-grossing film of 2018 and the fourth-highest-grossing film of all time both worldwide and in the United States and Canada. The film's visual effects were nominated at the 91st Academy Awards, 24th Critics' Choice Awards, and 72nd British Academy Film Awards. The sequel, Avengers: Endgame, was released in April 2019. Source: Wikipedia Artist’s Note (10/28/21): I gotta admit that I’m "kinda" late to the party when it comes to the MCU. Meaning, that in the past few weeks I have finally watched Avengers: Infinity War, Ant-Man and the Wasp, Captain Marvel (One of the best soundtracks ever? Yes.), Avengers: Endgame (I should have worn my white pants for that ending battle sequence.), LOKI (Between the MCU shows. I went with Loki first, based solely on the picture of Owen Wilson and Tom Hiddleston that’s up on the Disney+ app.), WandaVision, and What If…? ("Please, sir, I want some more."). So anyhoo, just a wee bit late, but I’ve been pretty busy. You know? With the painting and whatnot.

I’m (I am?) a self-taught artist, originally from the north suburbs of Chicago (also known as John Hughes' America). Born in 1984, I started painting in 2017 and began to take it somewhat seriously in 2019. I currently reside in rural Montana and live a secluded life with my three dogs - Pebbles (a.k.a. Jaws, Brandy, Fang), Bam Bam (a.k.a. Scrat, Dinki-Di, Trash Panda, Dug), and Mystique (a.k.a. Lady), and five cats - Burglekutt (a.k.a. Ghostmouse Makah), Vohnkar! (a.k.a. Storm Shadow, Grogu), Falkor (a.k.a. Moro, The Mummy's Kryptonite, Wendigo, BFC), Nibbler (a.k.a. Cobblepot), and Meegosh (a.k.a. Lenny). Part of the preface to the 'Complete Works of Emily Dickinson helps sum me up as a person and an artist: "The verses of Emily Dickinson belong emphatically to what Emerson long since called ‘the Poetry of the Portfolio,’ something produced absolutely without the thought of publication, and solely by way of expression of the writer's own mind. Such verse must inevitably forfeit whatever advantage lies in the discipline of public criticism and the enforced conformity to accepted ways. On the other hand, it may often gain something through the habit of freedom and unconventional utterance of daring thoughts. In the case of the present author, there was no choice in the matter; she must write thus, or not at all. A recluse by temperament and habit, literally spending years without settling her foot beyond the doorstep, and many more years during which her walks were strictly limited to her father's grounds, she habitually concealed her mind, like her person, from all but a few friends; and it was with great difficulty that she was persuaded to print during her lifetime, three or four poems. Yet she wrote verses in great abundance; and though brought curiosity indifferent to all conventional rules, had yet a rigorous literary standard of her own, and often altered a word many times to suit an ear which had its own tenacious fastidiousness." -Thomas Wentworth Higginson "Not bad... you say this is your first lesson?" "Yes, but my father was an *art collector*, so…"
