About The Artwork
This artwork is part of a series of churches ive depicted on fire as a protest against its actions, although it can always be interpreted in many ways. Im always inspired by beautiful catholic churches i've been to, snd in this case i wanted to show not only the colonial church of Tlatelolco but its surroundings as well, the square where it is has a lot of meaning to the people of Mexico City, in its architecture meet the old, the colonial and modern Mexico. For this piece used a mixed technique of acrylics and soft pastels, this mediums dont get on well they are very hard to mix , I had to do a very meticulous job to achive this result !

I was born in Mexico City in a family of artists, i grew up sorrounded by paintings. I was trainned as an artist in Dublin Ireland and I began showing my work in Buenos Aires, Argentina back in 2013. I call my style POP REALISM because is realism with a tender cartoonish touch between r. I'm fearless about expressing myself and my favourite topics are the dark human feelings, where i add lots of colours and try give them a new meaning. Many of my paintings are part of different private collections in North and South America, Europe and Australia.
