I love painting abstract art using deep, rich, bold, acrylic colors and incredible texture. I am fascinated by the way these vivid paint colors merge together creating unexpected colors and designs on the canvas. I never really know how a painting will turn out, as it keeps changing as I go. That's what makes abstract art so appealing to me. It's forever changing and evolving. I'm constantly inspired by patterns, colors, and textures that I find in everyday life; even the most random and unlikely things can become inspirations for a painting. I've done commissioned work for interior designers and regional collectors, and have sold to many international collectors around the world, had paintings shown in Guy Lyman Fine Art gallery in New Orleans, I've had a painting featured in the West Elm 2012 Spring and Fall Catalogs, and West Elm did a feature on their blog which can be seen here: http://blog.westelm.com/2012/07/27/textured-abstract-paintings-by-charlen-williamson/ . I was the featured artist at Artist Rising.com., plus I also had a painting featured in the October issue of Southwestern Homes Su Casa magazine, 2013. My original paintings can be found at www.charlensabstracts.etsy.com.
