Rendille women from northern Kenya have long adapted to unpredictable, adverse conditions, however, a growing concern is whether they can adapt to prolonged periods of ever increasing drought due to climate change. These unforgiving lands are also home to the Grevy's Zebra and Plains Zebra all distinguished by their unique stripes, which are as distinctive as human fingerprints. Zebra mothers have to make long and more frequent journeys to drink, resulting in high foal mortality, which is one of the major threats to the survival of the species.
