About The Artwork
This piece is inspired by the Harley-Davidson Springfield Mile, a professional flat track motorcycle race in Springfield, IL. The Harley-Davidson Springfield Mile ran its first AMA national in 1937. From 1946 through 1953 the championship was determined by winning this one race. This is how Springfield became so legendary and prestigious. My vision is to create works of art portraying different periods, moments, and trends in motorcycle history. Each collage/painting is a custom motorcycle build; distorted and often greatly exaggerated visions, to emphasize the danger and excitement of it all. Human beings, green villains, and skeleton riders inhabit these motorcycle landscapes.
