when we see a person in front of us, we don’t know what is going on inside of that person. Maybe there is a bloody cruel war going inside of her with herself, her circumstances, her prejudices, her fears, her past, her future and fear imperfections. We often become egocentric and forget that we are not the only one who can be harmed inside. Therefore, we harm that person in front of us who can already have thunderstorms and hurricanes inside of her soul. We judge her for her behavior, her words, without knowing the reasons behind it. We are jealous of her successes, finances, talents, appearance without knowing how many tears were shed, how many fears and uncertainties were overcame, and how many hours were spent to finish that work. With all of that, we make someone’s diligence, worries, time and work priceless. We neglect someone’s pain, feelings and fears. We do that because we don’t understand. Using this work I want to remind you and myself first, that there is an invisible battle going on inside of the someone. Don’t judge, don’t be jealous, don’t neglect. You’re behavior and your words can push someone who already stands on the edge of the abyss into the abyss. 2019 - 2022

I am a painter from Ukraine. I have always been painting, and when I was 14 years old I was admitted to college to a designer-artist program in the city of Ternopil, Western Ukraine. I’ve been trying to find myself in various creative fields. I designed logos, I took photos, I created and sewed toys, I made interior decor, I worked in the office, I worked hard in a cloth factory, I sculpted, I drew illustrations, I made jewelry, I wrote poems and books. During that time, I gained a lot of different experience, and I realized that finally I am an artist, a painter. And in this difficult time I want to create, and I want to pass on to others my experience, my emotions, my world, my thoughts, my inside energy. All the knowledge from all those different fields can be combined and a new creation can be made. For right now, I paint with acrylics and oils. However, I want to combine different textures, styles and techniques in the future. Such as using threads, clay, glass and various plastic paints. In my artwork I use a lot of symbols, signs, hyperlinks to world’s events, my thoughts, my poems, or songs and poems that inspire me. In my artwork I talk about my experience, my pain, and about the situation that is going on in my country, and what my country is going through. I have art about the inner human light in the darkness, or about the severe depressive periods in my life, or about the brutal bloody war in my country. About betrayal, depression, acceptance and self love. Also, I like to use realistic elements in between of vague strokes, images and words.
