This is an oil on canvas of Ken Miles during the LeMans 1966 in his Ford GT40. He was the star setting the lap record but then slowing down to let his team mates cross the line together. It meant he lost the win coming second as Bruce McLaren and Chris Amon were deamed winners due to starting further back down the grid. Two months later he was killed in a crash while testing the next version of the car. A tragic end for an incredible driver and sportsman. Framed black timber 36x24x2 inches (91.5x61.5x4.5cm).

I started drawing from an early age. My first teacher noticed that I drew blocky people while others drew stick people. I made the decision to go down the sciences route at 16 years old instead of pursing my art. I started again a few of years ago and now specialise in car portraits.
