A blank-faced man-child toy points the viewer across a large writhing flower on which a large anthrpormorphic insect creeps towards him. The brightly landscape mixes child-like iconography, such as an archetypical house drawn by children, while some large grasses protruding in the foreground which are rendered with more detail. A large salmon pink growth twists up from the ground, beside the two-dimensional house which casts a strong shadow at odds with the conventions of a child’s drawing. A biomorphic growth with a foot pushes from the desert-like ground, while the pathway on a distant spired building has melted. In the far distance a small mountain range, shimmers in the heat. A stylised cloud dominates the sky like a prop from a stage set, as if the picture is all a half-remembered child’s dream.
