Kimono colors Print

My name is Tatiana Moneta, I am an illustrator by profession, I studied Illustration at the LLotja school in Barcelona. In 2016 I moved to Tokyo, what fascinates me most about Japanese culture is the Kimono, its traditional garment. In Tokyo I had the pleasure of holding an art exhibition, one of my exhibited works was a vintage hand-painted Haori. After the exhibition I felt great passion for painting these garments, when I returned to Barcelona I was very clear that I would merge the Kimono with my illustrations. My job is to paint my designs on the Kimono or Haori with special fabric paint. For me the kimono and the Haori are very elegant garments, each one is special, in these garments I found a magnificent canvas on which to express my art. A hand-painted kimono or Haori is a work of art, the end result is an original and unique garment in the world.
