The painting is inspired by the road where I live (Kongestien - Sorgenfri). It is told that when the houses was built from 1941-49 designed by Danish architecht Mogens Lassen, the King (Christian X) followed the construction on his daily ride along a path in the backyard of these new houses from his daily trip on the horse. I hope the viewers will enjoy the mix of figurative almost conceptual houses in the style of Mogens Lassen on the red-margenta-with blue spots of water background. The houses has been added in 2024 on top of an old painting from the series: Drought and dessert cities from 2017. The houses has been painted with open acrylics (from Golden), attempting to create a kind of depth, but at the same time with a loose perspective to indicate, that when build in 1941 during second world war, Kongestien attracted many people from Copenhagen (architechts, engineers etc.) with the functional Mogens Lassen modern design.

I am a Danish hydrologist currently working as a principal investigator and researcher at the Geological Survey of Denmark and Greenland at Øster Voldgade 10, 1350 in Copenhagen (working in close cooperation with Copenhagen University institute for geology and geography). I am known for my research in the field of hydrogeology, with a focus on groundwater resources and their management, as well as the impact of climate change on groundwater systems. I have published many papers in the international scientific journals, and I am also a member of several scientific organisations.
