ABOUT THE ARTWORK
By creatively imagining tradition and mythological themes, my paintings demonstrate how life extends beyond its own subjective limits. My paintings represent the continuous challenge inherent between the self and the non-self and the primordial and modern thereby bringing out contemporary values and realisation. The Ramayana and the Mahabharata are central to my works. Despite being infused by newer and radical ideas, the characters in my paintings continue to broadcast traditional values and messages attempting to strengthen the spiritual and moral character of the viewer.
