La Résistance From micro to macro, for as long as I can remember, I stand for righteousness. Though I understand many individuals may need a lifetime to fulfil change for any particular cause, I identify with many. The strong feeling that arises when the causes are bigger than oneself, is what I have tried to portray in this work. This is my remedy of transforming this overwhelming feeling into my grain of sand that attempts to bring light to these causes so that change may be ignited. During my own corona quarantine I became aware of a global accumulation of consciousness. Veils have been falling off on all levels of society. Parallel stories are revealing themselves as lies are being exposed. I tapped into the energy of the people that has been building up, all over the world... An underlying intense emotion . The confinement may have affected the physical freedom of the people but it has only magnified the energetic. It is very powerful. I looked for and found each personage of the portrait La Résistance in journalistic pictures of different protests for different causes around the world. They are real people found in protest of Black Lives Matter, Hong Kong protests, Japanese , Standing Rock , The Amazon, Gay rights, Bolivia, Palestine, Ecuador, for climate change and more. Each personage has been placed together in this portrait where their forces are joined as they form ‘the Resistance’ during the Corona Lockdown.
