About The Artwork

A colorful Cubist style painting typical for Siviglia, which represents a battle on horseback with soldiers or rather knights of the Middle Ages. A combat between western and middle east warriors. A work reminiscent of Mori contro Cristiani, another painting of Siviglia, however, much larger. In fact the title "La Storia Continua" (in English: History continues) also refers to the fact that the artist takes up this topic again. Only here the battle takes place on a much smaller canvas, so there many details and intertwined figures, an energy and a crazy dynamic, all on just 50x50cm of canvas. Obviously the title suggests another fact, although we see a combat with characters of the Middle Ages, we understand its reference to the present times. It seems that the struggle between countries, between religions and ideologies, between nations and ethnic groups, in short between humans never ends ...

I was born in 1982 in Salerno, Italy, where I grew up as well. I visited the Art Institute "Filiberto Menna”. In my teenage years I started as a street artist, using sprays to express myself upon the walls of my home town. In 2008 I went abroad and spent two years in Spain, where I actually started to paint on canvas. 2010 I went back to Italy and lived in different cities, like Milan, Salerno and Rome.
