About The Artwork
Walking on the Plateau Mount Royal in Montreal in the summer is magical. As I walked on one of the most beautiful street in that neibourhood where the trees bend over they are so old and full of leaves giving shade to the homes built early 20th century. Where there are houses painted in light blue and green and even yellow is really spectacular. I stopped and quickly sketched the sidewalk going forever with the shades and the history of the homes speaking for themselves concealing stories of the hard working class that lived there over 100 years ago mainly French Canadian. It is important that the viewer feels like he would be there looking down at the street and enjoying the atmosphere.

I was born in, Tunis Tunisia. My mother Italian my father Polish.I started painting in my early teens. When I felt creative I would paint and it gave me direction. I started with Acrylic and pencil.At the beginning I was interested in painting the city of Montreal especially the Old Town. Then my first mentor gave me the confidence to push my art to another level and try nonfigurative painting. I think all my life I have had the capacity to go from figurative to nonfigurative easily. Depending on how I feel.I have had mentors to guide me in my style of painting for the last 3 decades. The founder and curator of the Museum of Contemporary art in Montreal. My Spiritual teacher Sri Chinmoy that gave me confidence on my road as an artist.
