About The Artwork

"Blue Hours" is the first work in a series that just needs to grow. The ocean inspires me to create landscapes of beach and changing horizon. From wonderful moments spent on the beach watching the waves to the strokes of brushes and knives on the canvas, there is only one step. This painting represents the dialogue between the luminous skies, the bluish shades of the waves and the white of the foam. I use the acrylic technique for its richness of colors and materials. This work is done on 3D cotton canvas. The edges are painted in white to bring out the work and let it express itself in the foreground.

Graduate of School of Fine Arts in 1998, and after 15 years in graphics and creation of products decoration and textile the desire to create a personal universe is essential. After a trip to Japan the universe of these women, often serene and peaceful, is forged. Evalhyn creates ornamentals muses in the South of France, between Aix en Provence and Marseille. Patterns and colors are a passion, she mixes these techniques with the feminine portraits to imagine a sensory and ornamental universe inspired by Art Nouveau and delicacy of Japanese Manga. Keeping in mind his travels to Japan, Vietnam and Cambodia and his two-year stay in Martinique, evalhyn transposes into his paintings these fleeting moments, these inspirations of the Eastern and Western world and her sensitivity to create sensual and poetic artworks between graphics and realism. Abstraction arrives in a second time with the desire to find the gesture at once intuitive and precise which carry the colors towards semi-abstract landscapes. She tests new techniques and is inspired by nature, which resources her. She creates new landscapes. The seashore and ocean become horizontal lines with abstract contours and transparent colors. She keeps this common thread of serenity and inner calm which makes the link with her delicate muses. It leaves imagination of everyone immersed in the poetry of images.
