About The Artwork

"Letting a hundred flowers bloom and a hundred schools of thought contend". This slogan was used in the summer of 1957 when the Chinese intelligentsia were invited to criticize the political system then obtaining in Communist China. As a result, people began to openly express their hidden thoughts, sent millions of letters, organize rallies, took to the streets, magazines were filled with critical articles. They protested against the Communist Party and its control over conscience, against the past campaigns against counterrevolutionaries, against slavery, against poverty etc. However, soon intellectuals and bourgeois leaders began to be accused of attempts to restore capitalism and discredit the leadership of the Communist Party. Those who were especially zealous in criticism began to be punished, including torture and bullying, often without trial or investigation. Many were sent to the countryside for reeducation through labor. People were silenced again... I created this painting because now is not the time to be silent, because today some countries are still ruled by dictators . They make their citizens afraid. They attack neighboring countries proclaiming their good intentions. I would really like that there was always peace, that there were no dictators, that flowers always bloom... The sides are painted pink so that the painting can be hang unframed.

I find beauty in the nature. Its energy surrounds and fills us . That is why my paintings is a small natural world. I was born in Ukraine. I attended art school in my hometown from 6 to 14 years old. I studied philology in Ukraine after graduating from high school. Then I studied culture and media relations in Poznan, Poland. Now I live in the heart of Roztocze National Park, where thanks to the ecological system of nature conservation, the primary flora and fauna of the region has been preserved. It is amazing when for tens of kilometers around you there is no factory, but only virgin nature. In my mind it is essential for people to live in harmony with nature. And this directly translates into my paintings. I try to show how beautiful it is. I create these moments on a cotton canvas using oil paints and brushes. During the long creative search in many styles, I chose realism as the main one.
