About The Artwork

I love mythology. Sometimes mythology is contemporary. New York is larger than itself, it become part of movies , many comic books and big screen heroes and villains had adventures in that mythical Gotham. The Bull of Wall Street has much to do with Minotaur and Golden Calf. Mythological Bull in many religions of the past was seen as bringer or defender of rains and floods. My personal stories have been made in the City for the last 1/4 of the century. I spent most of my NYC time in LIC or West Queens area by the Easy River. There I was when Hurricane Sandy brought a flood which topped car roofs. Loving use symbology in my work and let viewers make personal story by allowing flood of free associations. Artwork is painted on paper mounted on 1/2" foam board with acrylics, spray paint. The bulls head I painted on another piece of paper and glued it on and painted again. Plywood strips 3/4" thick protect edges all around, left them unpainted for more industrial look.
