ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I love this piece because in and of itself it has history. The table that I started with is at least 75 years old, and had to be rebuilt. It has lovely little scalloping along the front and back, a octagonal shelf in the center-bottom and carved legs. You will be getting a piece of art that is tabletop art. As for the artwork, I was inspired by the lightening storms of my youth in Indiana. Whether it was heat lightening in the middle of a hot summer night or accompanied by torrential rains and wind, there was not a May-August that ever went by without at least several good lightening storms. It always brings to mind the sounds of the crickets, the smell of the cornfields, and the singing of the spring peepers (frogs lol) in the pond and most of all being a kid with my mom and dad still with me. So I cherish this piece, and I hope that it brings some memories back for you as well.
