ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This work is part of my floral landscapes collection, between 2017-2018. The technique itself was created by me, where heavily condensed pigments were deposited over and nearby metallic reflective surface and then glazed over by layers of resin in order to attract and reflect the most amount of light possible creating colors of unparalleled luminosity and intensity. True homage to the natural beauty of flowers.

ArtistWatterway has studied at Ottawa University, and currently lives and works in the Outaouais region of Canada. In the late 90’s Watterway was extensively painting throughout southeastern Europe. With Watterway, studies and experimentation in floral anatomy are a way of life. As an artist, Watterway has been completely devoted to developing an entirely new painting technique. His floral scapes are easily recognizable, where he uses an extremely high concentration of exotic colour pigments, deposited in an extremely heavy impasto, resting on the reflective metallic under layer and topped with high gloss epoxy resin finish, project the innumerable colour wavelengths with unparalleled intensity. Each painting erupts with colour from a flat canvas surface, colour as bright and as numerable as is needed to depict form, substance and emotion behind each composition.
