This is an impasto painting created completely with palette knife. The colors are rich and the texture is tremendous. Dozens of paint layers are on this canvas. The goal was to create the sense of speed with directional texture and the blur of rich and bold color. This is an intense and richly colored painting. Looking at it you can feel the intense nature of this dangerous but thrilling sport. The Rothmans Honda colors are a classic dark blue, gold and red and are well presented in this excellent original. From a distance, this painting has realism qualities which is the goal with all impressionism paintings. Stretched canvas over wood and has a hanging wire on the back. Not framed.
