ABOUT THE ARTWORK

The past is not a perception that has lost its intensity. This is the repeated repetition of images fixed in our memory. We rely on the past. We identify ourselves and others through our memory. To learn is to learn something new or to recognize something old? By remembering, we anticipate the future. The eyes of the girl in the painting are in the shadow of the hat, but her gaze is clear. The work is done on premium quality linen canvas. The ends are a continuation of the painting. Gallery stretch canvas on a stretcher, 3 cm thick.

My name is Margarita. I am a professional artist. Painting is an integral part of my life. For me, not painting is like being silent. From early childhood, I made the decision to live in creativity, I painted a lot, received an art education, and then an architectural education. But in the end, painting took over and became my main profession. I live by creativity and I want my works to be available to a wide range of people around the world. The object of my work is a person. Human, as a person, on the one hand, and at the same time as an environment for others. In my works, I combine a realistic depiction of a person with the idea and theory of metamodernism. I am drawing a person who is constantly balancing. Between internal and external, personal and collective, real and virtual, obvious and hidden. The border between all these worlds, it seems to me, is the line of our life. Knowing nothing for sure is our world.
